The abyssals always spawn around the tower, in a group of 3... so i u aggro one, and step back a bit then u got only 1 abyssal 2 handle with.
2 Rangers, 1 abyssal in a group of 3, so its really easy

Nice guide^^, im currently still learnin it, but ill manage

Abyssals can be easily body blocked on terrain if there is more then 1. There's only a few groups with more then 1 abyssal in it that cannot be body blocked.

Use the tower's wall, or terrain to stick 1 abyssal behind the one attacking you if you accidently aggro more then 1.

Or just run and break off aggro, they will reset and you should have a better pull then before.

Got everything and training atm but im having trouble with the first group (i can beat it but some minor troubles) One of the shadow monks wont squish up with the rest of the group so i have to atleast let 1 warrior and beast survive so i can take it down... anny way for me to make it squish with the rest? and i cant seem to get past the first mesmer group might be because i am too hasty with casting PS and SB >_< but il keep trying...

(Gotta Deflag myself first because i got some major loot issues)

You don't need to kill all the warriors in the "flop." You can regularly save 1 or 2 ( preferrably warriors, not beasts) and lead them to the next group. The warriors make excellent batteries, not to mention being very valuable around mesmers and ele's in combo with insidious parasite.

If there is only 1 warrior left with nowhere else to take him, tank him until full energy, then hex, SS, IP, toss a desecrate on him as he heal sigs to take away some of the gap he is healing and he will usually die in that 3 skill combo. Sometimes you may have to toss on another ip or SS because the warrior is using IWAY but it's no biggie.

WHAT CAN I SAY.....KCP damm good build mate, took me about 10 runs but got the hang of it and take down most things now just goto get into the hang of that 2 monk and 1 mes grp then im happy. Really enjoyed learning it and now yup the norm stuff is really quite easy!
U were right ealier when u said i wasnt following ur guide enough, done it pretty much exactly now and yes its all about positioning and grouping them all up and wow do they drp quick when u get it right.
Cheers for sharing that build mate we all owe u a big thnx. nice work and really well written, i downloaded ur video too and that explains it good for the corect route and position although as im still not that confident on the 2 monk and mes nasty bstard grp i go round back and drop abysals (all but quest kick in grp) first then take out as much as i can before trying those will take the plunge soon but still learning!

You need to save some warriors(3-4) and use them for batteries to take out those 2 monk 1 mesmer groups. There's a similar patrol around the monks in the crater in the first area, same strategy save a couple warriors to take them out.

"Rarely" the 2 monk 1 mesmer group will die all at once......I've had it happen 1x before, man that sure sped things along. With practice, and using your target previous/target next buttons against them they die fairly quickly as long as you don't let there be more then a few seconds downtime on 2 SS's going. If you manage to get back to back faster recharges on SS and can plant 1 spiteful on all 3 of them it won't take long to drop them.

Cheers KCP i saw how you did it in the video and yeah i know now that if you say it will work then it will lol, just want to get more used to the mes shatter first, i find that if i do all else first then it covers the cost of the run with selling the junk and norm u get the bonus of shards, golds, dyes etc.
I just enjoying killing em i guess! Getting more used to it every run so will try to take em down on the next few runs, seem to reach a stale mate at the mo where i think i need to get quicker with the ss casting.
U stand back yeah with those ones as you dont want your batteries to be killed and just cast ss on the 2 monks with IS on the mes?
Still using the cover enchant too as not brave enough yet lol, always was a poor 55!
Thnx once again really nice to be able to do that solo, i enjoy toying with builds and making things work more than comepleting the game!

My first run i was able to clear the initial zone then got killed by the scales heading to the beach =(. next 5 runs...died in the initial zone trying to kill the abysmals =(. thank you so much for sharing this build. it's much funner farming shards this way then using a warrior. great job.

Ya the entire run is a nice challenge, I've never completed all that is possible to farm in one sitting

If you get bored of killing same things over and over, just clear to spiders, or skeletons and try different areas. You won't trigger rastigan to run to the tower unless for some strange reason you kill the triggers on the front side of the tower. For guide purposes that's what I did for each area is clear directly to the area I was needing pics from.

Try to make every trip a learning experience, there's alot to take in when your killing everything by yourself. Everyone get's owned at times, other times you are in the zone and kill almost everything , then make 1 minor slip up and thats it. Still fun either way.

They are both hard, once you know how to deal with nightmares UW might be easier. Untill then, I find FoW easier (still can't outdamage that 2 monk 1 mesmer group )

Uw is mind numbingly easier. Yes the shadow army is easy to kill, but after that you enter a whole new world of difficulty against skeletons, the rest of the shadow army: multiple abyssal groups, large spawns of shadow beasts, nature's renewal in the forest.

I will record a clip of the 2 monks and 1 mesmer group that is giving people problems. I will add it to the guide today. I will aslo update where to get the 20/20's since I get several pm's a day about where to find them.
